YouTube Ads

I just finished listening (and occasionally watching) the farewell concert by LCD Soundsystem. Not my band, but I hear why some people really loved them. What I though interesting were the three ads YouTube rotated through the three and a half hours of the concert: video production, videostroboscopy and date pretty Chinese girls. I can't figure out if that means Google's monetizing those eyeballs.
